'The Undying Loyalty of Dogs' is an honest and direct album that confronts the uncomfortable nature of intimacy with the haunting medium of a nearly broken tape recorder.
The album explores relationships in a way that requires active participation from the listener. The songs unwind like a frayed diary found discarded in the trash. Liv and Sean originally started collaborating on jazz standards and covers of acts like King Crimson and Minnie Ripperton. Sean focuses on the guitar parts while Liv focuses on vocal delivery to create a transcendental equation where the sum is greater than both parts.
Their sound is minimal with a sense of space, but with a specific fullness. Their music retains a sense of simplicity, beauty and mutual respect for one another and the songs.
